We want more customers to discover and experience the benefits of Upya’s full range of products and features, and are therefore looking for an Upya Expert (Solutions Consultant) to join our team in Lisbon.

If you are a motivated Solutions Consultant with demonstrated experience working with Customers through their processes, helping them become more efficient and competitive, you’re just who we’re looking for. Upya is looking for people like you to join and establish our Solutions Consulting team to lead and manage consulting and process automation projects.

The successful candidate must be able to lead activities by following defined discovery, planning and scoping from project inception to close, yet have the experience to know how to handle these situations differently for each customer and their unique culture and needs.

The Solutions Consultant must have the ability to thoroughly understand the software solution and system capabilities in order to translate client business needs and goals, thoroughly document the customer’s processes and give a recommendation for streamlining, optimizing and automating processes using Upya’s full range of products and capabilities. Experience with Agile Scrum is a definite plus.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Solutions Consultant, you will:

  • Become our very own Upya Expert when it comes to our platform and products
  • Coordinate with Customer team to identify their business problems and pain points, gather requirements, develop workplan, determine expectations and finalize deliverables
  • Manage Customer business process mapping, process re-engineering and gap analysis. Recommend opportunities for streamlining, optimizing and automating processes using Upya’s full range of products and capabilities.
  • Demonstrate the business benefits embedded in Upya’s products with enthusiasm
  • Foster relationships to build trust with Customers
  • Take a consultative, Agile Scrum approach to perform discovery and planning of the contracted scope to ensure that the customer receives the highest value through effective communication, leadership and oversight of the project
  • Manage and direct the daily execution to assure that the scope is clear, ensuring that contract requirements are met and timely closeout of projects happens
  • Collaborate closely with Product Team to ensure that our products/processes meet specific customer objectives (and that there are custom functionalities if needed)

Ideal candidate

  • Proven ability to translate complex technical issues into compelling business benefits
  • Strong customer facing skills, ability to influence and motivate internal/externals teams
  • Exceptional client management skills and be able to work with Customers across different levels of the organization to assess their needs, process gaps and identify recommendations and automation opportunities
  • Minimum of five years’ verifiable experience working as a Solutions Consultant and experience working with business process mapping
  • Self-starter with a technical background preferred, in order to understand and manage scope, while at the same time limiting scope creep
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively
  • Trustworthy, innovative, agile and with a good sense of humour

Optional but strong extra points

  • Experience working in emerging markets
  • Speaking French is a big advantage
